October 28, 29 & 30th

Kayaking has such a great spirit. When I asked Campbell if he knew of any accommodation in Nottingham, he offered my to stay at his place and a ride to get up there. I had a great time out there. On Friday we paddled for 2 hours on the course. It was great to paddle with Campbell who showed me all the tricks and specific moves on the course. Then on Friday evening we went to The Arctic Monkeys concert. On Saturday the qualifications went well, I placed 3rd having two quite good runs with just a couple of little mistakes and a touch in each run. The semi-final and final were similar and I placed 4th behind Corina Khunle (AUT), Luuka Jones (NZL) and Laura Blakeman (GBR). I am quite happy with the race as I made no major mistakes on any of my runs.

Le milieu du kayak a vraiment un bon état d'esprit. Quand j'ai demandé à Campbell s'il connaissait des hébergements à Nottingham, il m'a invité chez lui et a proposé de me conduire là bas. Le vendredi nous avons navigué 2 heures sur le bassin. C'était vraiment génial de naviguer avec Campbell qui m'a montré tout les pièges et les figures clefs du bassin. Vendredi soir nous sommes allé au concert des Arctic Monkeys. Samedi les qualifs se sont bien passées, je me suis classées 3ème grâce à deux plutôt bonnes manches puisque j'avais seulement quelques petites erreur et une touche par manche. Le Dimanche, mes manche de demie-finale et finale était du même ordre et j'ai terminé 4ème derrière Corina Khunle (AUT), Luuka Jones (NZL) et Laura Blakeman (GBR). Je reste satisfaite de ma course puisque je n'ai pas fait ni grosse erreur, ni sortie de route.
